No matter how old we are, it is important for all of us to pray for an increase to the religious life. Priests, nuns, and other religious are invaluable to our Church and our world. We should also pray to hear the plan God has for our own lives, because we all have a calling, and every calling can be holy.
A calling to religious life is truly a gift from God, and He will give you the grace to live it out if that is what he is really putting on your heart. So if you're tired of the word "discerning," think of it rather as a "discovering" of who you really are. God will provide all that you need in order to become the person he has in mind: remember, he knew your life before you were even born!
Life is a story, and although it's easy to think of ourselves as the main character, far more wonderful things can happen if we allow our Creator to be the main character. Then, through us, God works his wonders. Though they may seem like just "small wonders," they are wonders just the same! :)
Have you ever considered the religious life? This is definitely a possibility for you, and people your age are "discovering" their callings, too. Click on the boxes below to learn about what may be in store for you!
